In my 27 year career I have worked in Business Management, Project Management and Pre-Contracts Management in Australia, involving a variety of disciplines within the Energy, Resources, Road Safety and Infrastructure industries.
I have developed extensive personal experience in management of a construction business and projects with complex multi-disciplined features. In addition, I have built a proven relationship with many companies that allows synergies within our Companies and cross utilization of our resources.
Through my wide knowledge of construction, pre-contracts, and business management I have been able to apply to the successful completion of various projects to the satisfaction of our clients.
Much of our work has come from repeat business with Clients and our relationships.
My personal approach to Projects and Bid Management over the past 9 years has culminated in the successful completion of many projects involving extremely tight timeframes and logistical issues caused by remote locations projects.
I have a personal commitment to assisting and engaging persons affected with barriers to employment, minority groups and young people in the workforce. Whether this is working with suppliers, contractors or employees, I personally love to assist in the growth in these areas. Growing up within a migrant family, I have witnessed first hand the difficulties faced by people with barriers to break into the workforce as meaningful employees, contractors or businesses.
I have over 25 years of experience in management, exporting, procurement, engineering, I.T. and the construction industry.
Since joining the DDC team, I have had extensive exposure to the construction sector, including pricing, bid management, project management, Quality Control and successful completion of projects throughout Australia.
I project managed the projects for DDC in both the safety barrier sector and the renewable energy sector. I dealt with the programing of works, coordinated the team, ensured quality control was achieved, whist on site and ensured the job was completed on time and to the clients expectations.
I have been an integral member in the development of the DDC IMS systems and its implementation on our project sites.
Over my 31year career I have held positions namely in Electrical, Solar, Battery Storage and finally Construction industry.
During this time I have developed the necessary skills that have enabled me to deliver projects from “Concept to Handover”. I have assisted in a number of design projects for private and commercial enterprises. I have also developed analytical, organisational and critical facilities skills for maintaining a project team on point, even during those tight deadlines and unexpected stressful conditions.
Dealing with regulations and safety guidelines has been the perfect background to assist me to excel in my Construction Management and now finally Project Management.
My greatest ability is to work alongside our client to achieve the project KPI’s including delivery of the project on time and on budget, but more importantly I deliver all my projects safely and to the highest quality.
Since joining DDC I have worked across both sectors of safety barriers and commercial scale utility solar farms, the experience and knowledge gained from completing multiple construction projects have added the skills to deal with Civil, Structural, Electrical and Mechanical Services Engineers and Contractors
My teams are always positive and produce high quality installations. I take great pleasure and enjoy exploring the opportunities and abilities with working with young people, people with barriers and minority groups to help the individuals succeed and excel as great team members with DDC.
In my 38 year career I have worked in Business Management, Project Management and Pre-Contracts Management in England, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia involving a variety of disciplines within the Energy, Resources and Infrastructure industries.
I have developed extensive personal experience in management of construction companies and projects with complex multi-disciplined features. In addition I have the ability and understanding of all the contracting methods used within the private and public sectors.
I have successfully held most positions within various first tier construction companies from Project Manager through to General Manager.
Through my wide knowledge of construction, pre-contracts, and business management I have been able to apply extensive assistance to various projects involving lump sum, schedule of rates, Design and Construct, PPP’s, Alliances and ECI forms of contracts.
My personal approach to Projects and Bid Management over the past 19 years has culminated in the successful completion of many projects involving extremely tight timeframes, extensive Value for Money initiatives, logistical issues caused by remote locations, environmentally sensitive areas, stakeholder and cultural heritage issues on notable major projects.
With over 20 years’ experience in diverse areas of banking and finance, including Retail Banking, Business Banking, Corporate Banking and corporate training, I have developed a diverse set of skills that assist in the financial analysis of our business and process improvement.
I attended Latrobe University studying History and politics before finding my niche in Banking and Finance. I enjoy understanding what makes a business tick and looking for areas to develop strong policy to create a stronger finance position. I also spent 6 years training corporate staff where I helped develop the skills and job satisfaction of thousands of staff.
With my role in DDC I assist in creating, implementing and managing employment programs targeted at assisting the disadvantaged, minority groups and young people into long term meaningful roles with the company.
I work with the project teams and monitor and alert to cost and financial positions of the projects and specific tasks.
I provider clear and timely reporting on current project positions to the project teams as well as the board.
I develop and implement policy, relation to process improvement and project budget requirements.
Project completion analysis, reviewing both process and financial improvements required to allow for improvement for future projects.
In my 34 year career I have worked in Project Management, Design Management and Pre-Contracts Management in England, Africa, Fiji, Australia, Myanmar and Malaysia involving a variety of disciplines within the Energy, Resources and Infrastructure industries. I have developed extensive personal experience in management of construction projects with complex multi-disciplined features. My career developed from Engineer through to Project Manager through working for Kier Construction (UK) for 11 years, McConnell Dowell Constructors (Aust) for 8 years, and self-employed for 15 years. During the period of self-employment I have undertaken road works, pipeline works, CSG resource sector works and various other works within the mining and resource sector. I have been extensively involved in the civil, structural, marine, mechanical and electrical disciplines on projects. My commercial and contracts experience has led to many successful and fair outcomes in project change management for both the Client and the Contractor. On the Pelican Point Power Station our Client incurred some major delays with their design, however, through my approach to change management we worked closely with the Client to help them address the issues and fast track the design. The Client was so impressed with our collaborative approach they awarded additional works to our team. The Client completed the works by the originally planned completion date. |
I have over 20 years’ experience in project management, warehousing, distribution, and supply chain, with a focus on safety, continuous improvement, and lean principles.
I recently moved into the construction industry, looking to expand my skills. I have ISO 9001 Auditor Training, Lean Training, Project Management and Leadership Development Training, which have been adaptable across industries.
I have developed performance management tools for productivity and quality measurement, developed procedures and policies, including job work instructions
I have been an integral member and chair of safety committee, running weekly meetings and ensuring action items resolved, running 5S training and implementing 5S audits across worksites
